He is survived by: his parents, Gerald Chavis and Judith Turvin Chavis; his children, Summer Chavis, Brianna Chavis, Brooke Chavis and Brett Chavis; the mother of his children Dana Register; and his siblings, Cindy Carnes, Jerry Chavis (Paige) and Kim Stanley (Anthony). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
