He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Elijah Knighton and Jessie Chambers Knighton (Della Knighton); his son Ted Calvin Knighton, Jr.; and his brothers, Odell, Clarence and Ned Knighton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Glenda Nanni (Ron), Wanda Boutwell, Susan Tolbert (Joe), Patsy Holmes (Phillip) and Karla Holmes (Dale); and his grandchildren, Denise, Dana, Chip, Nichol, Krysti, Kelli, Chad, Jason, Kevin, Joshua, Elizabeth and Kody. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
