She was predeceased by : her parents, Tommy Smith (Alfie Smith) and Baby Ward. She is survived by : her husband Charles Nix; her children, Anthony Nix (Cheryl) and Christy Ward (Kevin); her sisters, Barbara Roberson (Ronnie), Pam Smith and Jackie Robins (Ricky); her grandchildren, Blake Ward (Lauren), Landen Nix, Eli Nix and Raylan Ward; and her great grandchildren, Dahlia, Kameron, Pheobe and Karter. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calendar Nichols Funeral Home - Double Springs (25714 AL-195, Double Springs, AL 35553). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at the Calendar Fairview Baptist Church (1000 AL-195, Double Springs, AL 35553).
