She is survived by : her children, Deborah B. Thompson and Wayne Brooks Jr. (Sharron); her grandchildren, Daniel Eugene Thompson (Jennifer), Brandon Trey Thompson (Samantha), Joshua James Thompson (Emily), Brandi Brooks Lightfoot (Jeremy), Nicholas Brooks, Sena Brooks Martin (Craig) and Dougla G. Tamez; her sister Shirley Mizell; and her brother-in-law Wayne Mizell. She is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins.
