Janice Gail Motyka Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 1, 2023, at the age of 74, Janice Gail Motyka of Eight Mile, Alabama, born in Murphy, North Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janice Gail Motyka to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her grandmother Linnie May Zervas of Cleveland, TN; her sister Linda Kilpatrick McKinney (Murphy) of Cleveland, TN; her parents, John O Kilpatrick and Mary Lou Kilpatrick of Detroit, MI.; and her husband Edward Motyka of Farmington Hills, MI.

She is survived by : her aunt Mamilee; her sister-in-law Karen; her friend Charlene (Danny, family: Cameron, Danny, Janice); her brothers, John Kilpatrick (Chipper) and Michael Kilpatrick of Detroit, MI; her nieces, Teresa Lawson (Phillip) of Decatur, TN, Charity Lawson of Decatur, TN, Brenden Lawson (Stephanie) of Farragut, TN, Payton Lawson (Sierra) of Decatur, TN, Mary Nunley (Basil) of Riceville, TN and Janice Linn Burrell; her nephew Emanuel Burrell (Jeannie); her uncle Jack Zervas of Cleveland, TN; and also, Ella Rose Lawson and Levi Phillip Lawson. She is also survived by several extended family members, cousins, great nieces and nephews.

“How saddened so many are with the passing of Janice, my friend of many years in Mobile. She was a delightful lady who loved to sing and write songs, with "Sunflowers" being one she loved the most. She loved her family and spoke of them often, especially her brothers, Chipper and Michael, and her now deceased Aunt Mamielee. Now, dear Janice rests in the arms of her Lord with her loved one's.”
