He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmit Mulder and Carrie Adams Mulder; his siblings, Robert Bobby Mulder and Gail Brazzell; his grandson Steven Hale; and his great grandchild Ansleigh Garner.

He is survived by: his children, Richard E. "Tater" Mulder (Jonnie Gail Henley) and Michelle "Shell" Garner (Terry Stephens); and his sisters, Betty Barker, Deanie Funderburk and Joann Lee.
