She was predeceased by : her parents, Ira Murphree and Abbagail Horsley Murphree; her daughter Brenda Drukenmiller; her granddaughter Jennifer Denise Mooney; and her sisters, Randa Saunders and Rita Thomas.

She is survived by : her children, Lynda Smith (Pete), Michele McElroy (Will) and Ancel Tidwell; and her sisters, Earlene Gray and Alice Frost. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.
