It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lynda Jo Pate of Elrod, Alabama, born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, who passed away on October 22, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her sons, William Charles Pate and Derrell Shane Pate; and her parents, Carl Rice and Lorraine Williams Rice. She is survived by: her husband Derrell Pate; her daughter Melissa Jo Pate Mauffray (Charles Darrin); her stepdaughter Redda Banks (David); her daughter-in-law Danielle Pate; her sister Gloria Faye Montgomery (Bobby); and also Sue McAteer. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
