It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Zettie Mae Poole (Elrod, Alabama), born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, who passed away on May 9, 2018, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Houston Poole; and her brothers, Ward Ferguson, Wilburn Ferguson and Gene Ferguson. She is survived by: her children, Wanda Pate, Rubye Riffe (Ron), Doris Fleming, Mattie Mae Powell, Kenny Poole (Betty) and Joe Poole (Beth); her siblings, Mollie Sweat and Charles Ferguson (Linda); her sister-in-law Goldie Ferguson; and her grandchildren, Michael, David, Shane, Sharon, Robin, Rebecca, Tammie, Tommie, Alanna, Houston, JoAnna, Kevin, Anita, Brenda and Timothy. She is also survived by 32 great-grandchildren; 12 fifth generation great-great-grandchildren.
