He was predeceased by : his parents, Sanger Merchant and Ruby Merchant; and his brother Dennis Merchant. He is survived by : his wife Carol White Merchant; his children, Jeannie Jones, Rhonda Musgrove, Christine Schaff (Andy), Amanda Merchant, Janelle Young (Robert) and Jonathan Merchant of Jason Day; and his brothers, Wayne Merchant, Sanger Merchant, Gary Merchant, Terry Merchant and Tommy Merchant. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and faithful dog.
