We are sad to announce that on February 20, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Dolores Johns Cooper of Elsanor, Alabama, born in Mobile, Alabama. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by : her mother Maudie Boutwell Johns (Fate); her siblings, Dewey Johns, Cecil Johns and Anna Faye Johns Merritt (Tiny); her parents-in-law, Gilbert Cooper and Bessie Mitchell Cooper; and her siblings-in-law, Donald Cooper and Glenda Cooper Lewis.
She is survived by : her husband Grady Gilbert Cooper, Sr.; her children, Grady Gilbert Cooper, Jr., Carmelita Cooper Hartley of Loxley and Karen Cooper Robbins of Robertsdale; her grandsons, Joshua Reding (Alicia Woods) of Saraland and James Robbins of Atlanta; her great grandchildren, Mason Cooper, Ava Grace and Charlotte Elise Reding; her sister Sharon Johns Harbison (J. R.); and her siblings-in-law, Dr. Warner Merritt and Mary Frances Middleton Cooper. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
In fact, up until the COVID-19 epidemic struck last year, she was still teaching her weekly Sunday School class. Due to COVID-19 concerns, the family will hold a graveside service on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at 10:00 a. m. at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Elsanor.
