She was predeceased by: her parents, Emanuel Brooks (P. D.) and Winnie Mae Wyatt Brooks; her husband William "Bill" Wheeler; her daughter Tammy Wheeler; and her siblings, Christine Brooks Becker, Helen Brooks Kirkland, Robert Brooks, Gerald Brooks, Mickey Brooks and Mike Brooks.
