It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeanette Moates (Enterprise, Alabama), who passed away on January 9, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Luther Martin Moates; her daughter Emily Catherine Sawyer; her parents, Benjamin Bert and Jessie Broxson Byrd; and her siblings, Catherine Cresap (Byrd) and Benjamin Max Byrd.
She is survived by: her son-in-law James M. Sawyer; her sister Tommye Byrd; her grandchildren, Jessica Sawyer Wang (Timothy), Ethan James Sawyer, Amber Moates Key (Matthew), Bethany Joy Van Ness (Paul), Beryl Faith McNee (Trysten), Jana Emfinger and Jeana Deal; her great grandchildren, Mabel, Iris Wang, Luke Sawyer, Brenna Van Ness, Dylan, Parker Key, Lailyn Medley and Kaylee Crook; and her granddaughter Bethany Van Ness (Paul).
