She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Townson; her mother Louise Henderson; and her sister Frances Ledkins. She is survived by: her daughters, Tammy Woods of Enterprise, AL, Sherry Lambert of Evergreen, AL and Diane Godwin (Artie) of Evergreen, AL; and her sisters, Wanda Mosley (Johnny) of Andalusia, AL, Glenda Godwin of Oak Grove, FL and Betty Thomley (Braxton) of Perdido, AL. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
