She was predeceased by: her parents, Millard Stokes and Mae Whitfield Stokes; her husband Dr. Joe Herod; and her sister Pasty Gail Burton. She is survived by: her children, David John Stefaniak (Holly), Leah Herod of Huntsville, AL and Debra Roberson (Jay); her grandchildren, Gracie, Emily Anne, Reid Roberson, Nathan, Audrey Herod, Anna Caitlin, Graham, Braden, Stephen and Davis Stefaniak; and her siblings, Wayne Stokes (Myra), Faye McGainey of Pinson, AL, Barbara Carpenter of Flowery Branch, GA and Donna Lemley (Wayne). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
