He was predeceased by: his wife Sara B. Wright; his children, Elizabeth Duke and Larry Thompson; and his grandchildren, Chris Flournoy, Eric Johnson, Johnny Johnson and Gabrielle Duke.
He is survived by: his children, Lita Williams, Linda Hood, Billy Thompson and Donald Thompson; and his sister Mildred Williams. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
