He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ruth Rhodes and Willie Scott; his significant other Sandra Rhodes; his sons, Cori Donnell Rhodes (Charletta) of Donnell Rhodes, II and Gary Richardson Jr. (Tameka); his granddaughters, London, Kingsley, Morgan and Regan; his siblings, Wanda Harper, Karen Garrett (Solomon), Geneva Maynard, Cludia McGraw, Mildred Carter, Sally Jean Waycase, Claude Scott, Clyde Scott and Willie Shearers; and his nephew Fabion Rhodes. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Upon graduation, he went to work for Callahan Eye foundation for a number of years.
