He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucile Dickson Stewart and John Wesley Stewart Sr; and his brother John Wesley Stewart Jr. He is survived by: his spouse Lynn Pylate; his children, Steve (Kimberly), Susan (Brad) and Scott (Carrie); his grandchildren, Steven Stewart (Kenna), Stewart Thrash (Scottie), Joseph Thrash, Brett Stewart and Gracelyn Thrash; and his siblings, Mary Stewart Aycock, Jim Stewart and Charles Stewart.
