He was predeceased by: his parents, David E. Roberts and Faye Roberts; and his siblings, James "Ed" Roberts and Carolyn R. O'Shields. He is survived by: his sister Susan R. Knight (Jimmy) of Indian Trail, NC; and his niece Jade Knight. He is also survived by other relatives and numerous friends.
