He was predeceased by: his parents, C. B. Rackard and Marie Colvin. He is survived by: his wife Grace Johnson Rackard of Brewton; his children, Daniel "Junior" Nelson (Becki) of Appleton and Kathy Nelson Pierce (Shane) of Crestview, FL; his siblings, Johnny Colvin (Veronica) of Cantonment, FL, Charles Rackard (Debbie) of Columbus, MS, Willie Colvin (Charlotte) of Killen, AL, Doris Watson (Robert) of East Brewton, Linda Noom (Greg) of Texas and Cheryl Herbert of Louisiana; and his grandchildren, Jon Nelson (Ashley), Curtis Nelson (Rachel), James Wright, Jennifer Wilkerson, Andre Stokes and Taylor Brown (Amanda). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
