She was predeceased by: her husband J. D. Tippett, Jr; her parents, Birdie Henson Johnson and Bennie Henson; her brother Herrold Henson; her son-in-law Tommy Mabry, Jr; and her grandson Michael Thomas Mabry.
She is survived by: her children, Darlene Tippett Mabry, Sherri Tippett, Danny Tippett and Darryl Tippett; her granddaughter Melanie Mabry Lovelace (Brandon); her great grandchildren, Mabry Laine Lovelace and Mary Michael Lovelace; and her siblings, Fredia Blalock and Franklin Henson (Maxine). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association and the Women's Alzheimer's Movement.
