It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Annabel Jeanette Melton of Florence, Alabama, who passed away on February 12, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Umstead and June Umstead; her husband Eldred Melton; and her son-in-law Don Shiers. She is survived by: her children, Judy Shiers, Dinah Van Dielen, Buford Eldred, Jr. (Linda), Callie Pitts (Joe), Nancy Wood (Johnny), Linda Lack (Jeff), Jeanette Smith (Cameron), Penny Jeffreys (David) and Twenty; and her sister-in-law Joan Melton. She is also survived by Twenty four grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
