He was predeceased by : his parents, Aubrey Kelley and Geneva Palmer Kelley; his aunts, Lila and Becky Jeffries (Larry); and his uncle Kenneth Kelley (Elaine).

He is survived by : his wife Jerrilyn Snell Kelley; his children, Amy Dean (Garrick), Andrea Dewhurst and Richard Kelley; his grandchildren, William, Rose, Maddox, Lydia, Weston, Dane, Harry and Caroline; and his sisters, Nancy O'Neal, Donna Gillen (Craig) and Jane Tallman (Paul). He is also survived by Numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jackson Heights Church of Christ (1031 Hermitage Dr, Florence, AL 35630). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
