She was predeceased by: her husband Tex Sharpston; her parents, Leonard Fowlkes and Pauline Fowlkes; and her brother Charlie Fowlkes. She is survived by: her children, Scottie Lanier (Sharon), Tim Lanier (Ruth), Laura Brison (O'Neal) and Sissy Montgomery (Tony). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
