He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Ruth and Cecil Myrick Sr.; his daughter Ladonice Borden; and his granddaughter Suzanna Borden. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Payton Myrick; and his children, Jimbo Kelley, Kim Faires (Kevin), Jason Myrick (Amber) and Angie Nard (Nathen). He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren; two brothers, and two sisters.
