He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Atkinson and Parilee Atkinson; and his brother Jerome Atkinson. He is survived by: his wife Martha Price Atkinson; his sons, Jeff Atkinson, Kenneth Atkinson (Teresa) and Michael Atkinson (Tara); and his siblings, Roy Lee Atkinson, Billy Atkinson (Doodle), Danny Atkinson and Ruby Peeden. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
