He was predeceased by: his wife Maxine Butler Clardy; his parents, J. W. Forrest and Julie Pauline Merrell Clardy; and his sisters, Nancy Godsey and Barbara Mardis.
He is survived by: his daughters, Leslie Daniel (Van) and Mallette Richey (Robert); his sister Brenda Winter (Don); and his grandchildren, Patrick Daniel, Ciara Daniel and Rob Richey. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
