She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Richards and Pearl Richards; and her grandparents, Leonard and Ethel Crowden. She is survived by: her husband Smith; her children, Stacey Chaney (Mike), Byron Smith (Melinda) and Dennis Patterson (Kim); her grandchildren, Blair Bolan, Zach Ray, Caleb Chaney, Sophie Patterson and Chloe Patterson; and her brother Jimmy Richards.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Alabama Christian Children's Home.
