With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cornelia Nix (Florence, Alabama), who passed away on May 24, 2020 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Leonard Nix; her daughter Kathy Nix Kowalski; her parents, Robert Chapman and Katherine Lee Smith; and her siblings, Edna Smith Cathey, Robert Lee Smith, Allen Thomas Smith and Alvin Henry Smith.
She is survived by: her brother William Edward Smith (Christine); her son-in-law Larry Joseph Kowalski; her granddaughter Katie Kowalski Newbury (Mark Brandon); and her great grandchild Brandon Lawrence Newbury.
In lieu of flowers the family recommends sending a contribution in Cornelia's name to the Humane Society.
