He was predeceased by: his wife Jackie; his parents, Paul Berrens and Sophie Berrens; and his siblings, Paul Berrens, Jr. and Mary Grace Locker.
He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Ann Berrens White (Beth) and David Joseph Berrens, Jr. (Deona); his grandchildren, Bradley Austin McMurtrey, David Joseph Berrens, III and Darby Katherine Berrens; his sister Betty Ann Connolly; his siblings-in-law, Guy Lawrence Locker, Betty Jo Peters and James Daniel Schmidlkofer (Glenda); and his nephews, Bill Connolly, Paul Connolly, John Connolly and Chris Connolly. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
