He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Gage Shiers and Myrtle Shiers; and his brothers, Shorty Shiers, Clifford Shiers and Keith Shiers.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Shiers; his adoptive children, Brian Keith Shiers, Bradley James Shiers and Brittany Lee Shiers; his stepchildren, James Sharp (Lori), Vicki Baxter, Brian Sharp (Kathy) and Angela Kelley (Brian); and his grandchildren, Tyler Sharp (Amber), Ashley Avery (Cody), Luke Baxter (Brittany), Savannah Kerr (Josh), Jasmyn Lawson (Ryan), Trevor Kelley and Trenton Kelley.
