It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Eckl (Florence, Alabama), who passed away on August 17, 2019, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar J. Evers and Theresa Bauer Evers; her siblings, Ambrose, Sylvester, Oscar Jr., Victor, Dennis, Cyril, Alphonse Evers, Bernadine Hollman, Lucille Niedergeses and Mary Jo Evers; her sister-in-law Marcella Eckl; and her father-in-law Joe.
She is survived by: her husband John J. Eckl; her daughters, Marguerite Eckl of St Florian, AL, Claire Eckl (Larry Sexton) and Jean Eckl Elliott (Steve); her grandchildren, Sarah Homan (Nathaniel), Kathleen Mayo (Brad), Adam Elliott and Dr. Johnathan Elliott (Beth); her great grandchildren, Emma, Madeline Homan, Cait, William, Elliott Mayo and Josephine Elliott; and her sister Teresa Wenzel.
