He is survived by: his wife Linda Hatton Hayes; his children, Thomas Hayes (Lynn), Richmond, Billy Hayes (Johanna), Kiya Sledge (Kris) and Madison Hayes; his brother Ralph Hayes of Florence, AL; his grandchildren, Tristen Stawicki, Samantha Sledge, Savannah Hayes, Spencer Hayes, Noah Sledge and Sydney Hayes; and his great grandchild Charlie McCrary.
