It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Jesse Baker of Florence, Alabama, born in Eastman, Georgia, who passed away on December 28, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Baker and Rosella Baker. He is survived by: his sisters, Mildred Petty, Hazel Meade Thompson and Betty Crittenden; his wife Billie Faye Edwards Baker; his children, Ben Baker (Leigh Anne) and Laura Weaver (Terry); his grandchildren, Jessica Weaver, Mary Leigh Baker and Martin Baker; and his great grandchild Neyland Weaver.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to either the Sherrod Avenue Church of Christ (Alex Gear Missions) in Florence, AL, or to the Sheltering Tree Ranch in Savannah, TN.
