Grady Powell Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Grady Powell of Florence, Alabama, who passed away on October 9, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, O. C. Powell, and Bettie Jackson Powell, Jr.; and his grandparents, O. C., Rilla Morris Powell, Sr., Grady and Florence Jackson.
He is survived by: his wife Jane; his children, Daniel Powell of Mableton, GA, Nathan Powell of Sheffield, AL and Bethany Stover (Donnie) of Germantown, TN; his grandchildren, Veda Powell, Emory, Annie and Maggie Stover; and his brothers, Carl Powell (Susan), Tim Powell and Barry Powell (Kathy). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the McFarland Park (200 James M Spain Dr, Florence, AL 35630). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
