He is survived by: his wife Velma Hines Hemmen; his daughter Vickie Lynn Hemmen Marbut; his sister Mary Olive; his grandchildren, Chris Hemmen, Angie McClendon and Carrie Tyler; his great great grandchild Numerous; his parents, Henry John Hemmen, Sr. and Maddie Farris Hemmen; his son John Michael Hemmen; his stepmother Annie Hemmen; and his siblings, William Hemmen, Sr. and Josephine Derryberry. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of the Shoals or Shiloh Cemetery Fund.
