We bid farewell to Idell Peters of Florence, Alabama, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 6, 2025 at the age of 91. Idell touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As Idell departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Idell. Though Idell may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence Peters; her parents, John Owens and Tennie Owens; and her sister Wilodean Hayes. She is survived by: her sons, Patrick and Lawrence A. Peters; her granddaughter Megan Peters; and her siblings, Jean Peden, Marie Owens, Reba Peden, Susie Folgelman and Robbie Zahnd. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM and at 10:00 AM.
