He was predeceased by: his parents, Aulton Tate and Vela Tate; and his sister Jamie Tate Smith. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Christine McCafferty Tate; his children, Jennifer Tate Tuten and Christopher Tate; his grandchildren, Tyler, Ashley Riley, Kirsten, Samantha, Benjamin and Paul Tate; his niece Belinda Smith McKee; and his nephew Bill Smith.
