We are sad to announce that on June 9, 2020, Melanie Musgrove of Florence, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. L. Culver Ellis and Virginia Stricklin Ellis; and her grandparents, Dr. Lovick Culver, Grace Holland Ellis, Sr., Robert A. and Ruby Stricklin.
She is survived by: her husband Dr. John Larkin Musgrove, Sr.; her children, Melinda Musgrove Chapman (Tyler), Camille Ellis Musgrove and Dr. John L. Musgrove, Jr.; her sister Madolyn Hall (Sam); her niece Virginia Thornley (Christian); her great-nephew Harrison Thornley; her cousin Betty Barton Blythe (Jimmy); her brother-in-law Robert Foster Musgrove; her nephew Byars Musgrove (Debbie); her great-nephew Jackson; her sister-in-law Martha Newberry (Mike); her nieces, Caroline, Catherine Ashe (Taylor) and Cecily Wall (Allen); her great-nieces, Evins and Caitlin Wall; her nephew William T. Musgrove, III (Susan); her great-niece Sims Musgrove; her great-nephew Will Musgrove; her friend Melanie; and also, John, Melinda and Camille.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions a private family service will be held at 2:00 p. m. on Friday, June 12th at Florence First United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial to First United Methodist Church of Florence Children's Program/Day School or the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library Book Fund.
