She is survived by: her sister Dorothy Reeves of Wharton, TX; her son John Burney (Linda) of Huntsville, TX; her daughters-in-law, Pat Burney of Florence, AL and Donna Burney of Pearland, TX; her grandchildren, Darwin Burney (Kim) of Muscle Shoals, AL, Melissa Sanchez of Huntsville, TX and Brian Burney of Spring, TX; and her great grandchildren, Chandler Burney, Luke Sanchez and Charlotte Burney.
In lieu of flowers, Bess would be honored by contributions to the missions ministry of University Heights Baptist Church in Huntsville or First Baptist Church in Mart, TX.
