She was predeceased by: her daughter Lea Anne; her stepson Franklin Bedford; her parents, Woodrow Hester and Lila Malone Hester; and her brother Billy Don Hester.
She is survived by: her daughter Kaye Botes (Brad) of Birmingham, AL; her grandchildren, Bradford Botes, Jr. of Encinitas, CA, Philip Botes of Birmingham, AL and Meredith Thompson (James) of Decatur, AL; her sister Beth Robinson (J. D.) of Russellville, AL; her nephew John Bedford; her daughter-in-law Julia; and her grandchildren-in-law, Audrey, Lawson and Sophie. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, stepchildren, extended family and friends.
She had been in relatively good health prior to testing positive with COVID – 19 which took her life in less than two weeks.
