She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Wathen Casteel; her parents, Floyd Butler and Rosie Butler; and her sisters, Ann Nugent (Jean) and Dot Roberson (Charles).

She is survived by: her children, Charles David Casteel (Jenny), John Patrick Casteel, Mark Anton Casteel and Deborah Susan Casteel Garner (Neal); her sister Bettye Butler Snowden (Joe); and her grandchildren, Jonah Casteel, Hannah Garner, Nathan Garner and Penelope Casteel.

Donations, in her honor, may be given to Catholic charities or St. Joseph Catholic School.
