He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Polk Davis and Lottie Bea Evans Davis; and his siblings, Bill Davis and Joyce Sanderson. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Pruitt Davis; his children, Marcus Davis, Sherrie Vickery, Melissa Gifford and Amanda Stegall; his siblings, Charlie "Fennie" Davis and Sue Camp; and his grandchildren, Jesse Davis, Kimberly Vickery Chambers, Cliff Vickery, Wesley Gifford, Allen Gifford, Nikki Guyton and Colby Stegall. He is also survived by eight great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
