With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Quava Akins of Florence, Alabama, who passed away on February 13, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleo Faires and Gertie Faires; her siblings, Granville, Clyde, Freddie, Glenn, Eddie Faires, Rachel Goza, Shelba Faires and Sharon Faires; and her siblings-in-law, Leo Melton and Shelia Faires.
She is survived by: her husband Andrew Akins; her children, Randy Akins (Kim) and Tammy Hanback (Randy); her grandchildren, Samantha Putman (Donnie), Blake Akins (Katie), Bryant Reding and Kyle Smith; her great grandchildren, Jackson Holt, Katelynn Putman, Ellie Putman and Reid Akins; her siblings, Gary Faires (Doris), Jewel Bain (Robert) and Sue Melton; and her siblings-in-law, Sandra Faires, Ann Faires, Jeanette Faires, Linda Faires and Danny Goza. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
