She was predeceased by: her former husband Joe Phillips; her husband O. F. Moomaw; her granddaughter Brandy Robertson; and her siblings, Shirley Miley, Barbara Owens, Christine Armstrong, Lester and Chester South.
She is survived by: her children, Shelia Phillips, Sharon McKinney, Charlotte Phillips and Gary Phillips; and her siblings, Geneva Yerby and Harold South. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
