He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Wheeler Melton and Viola Tabitha Bruce Melton. He is survived by: his sister Beverly Melton Barton; his nephew Nicholas James Barton (Ashlee Liles); and his great-nephew Wylie Glen Barton.
