With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Beard of Florence, Alabama, who passed away on February 8, 2021 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Virginia Beard to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Lee and Clara Lee Gallien Stricklin; her spouse Noel Lester Beard; and her brothers, Shalor Stricklin, Robert Stricklin and Marion Stricklin.
She is survived by: her children, Phillip Beard (Fran) of Fayetteville, TN and Sherrie Beard of Florence, AL; her grandchildren, Joshua Fowlkes (Julie), Justin Fowlkes, Meghan Travis (Nick) and Haylee Beard; her great grandchildren, Bentlee Travis, Rue Beard and Bailor Travis; and her brothers, John D. Stricklin of Collinwood, TN and Neal Stricklin (Bobbie Dean) of Collinwood, TN. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19, face coverings and physical distancing is requested for anyone attending the visitation or the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be given to the cancer society or to the alzheimer's/dementia organization in her memory.
