With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Alvin Wright (Florence, Alabama), who passed away on June 25, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Fisher Wright and Sue Fowler Wright Smith; his stepfather Homer Smith; his brothers, Dalton Wright, Homer Smith Jr. and James Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Louise Sharp Smith and Roy Gladney.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Gladney Wright; his son Jeff Wright (Libby); his siblings, Almon Smith and Bettie Smith Townsley (David); his sister-in-law Helen Smith Wright; his nephew Chad Wright (Kandi); his great-nephew Ben Wright; and his granddaughters, Tammie and Tisha.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home or Cedar View Assisted Living.
