With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Maddox of Florence, Alabama, who passed away on October 8, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy William leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though William may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Maddox; his parents, V. C. Maddox and Nell Maddox; and his brothers, Danny Maddox and Gary Maddox.
He is survived by: his nieces, Heidi LeeAnne Slappey of Florence and Danielle Lynn Napier of Florence; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Bradley, Ashley Slappey, Kaylyn, Noah and Kylie Grace Napier.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Greenview Memorial Park (3657 Old Chisholm Rd, Florence, AL 35633).
