He was predeceased by: his parents, James Homer Terrell and Myrtle Smith Terrell May; his siblings, James Homer Terrell, Jr. and Buelah Blalock; and his stepbrothers, Raymond "Doc" May, C. T. May and Frank May.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Elizabeth "Dot" Sharp; his daughter Denise Holcombe (David); his grandsons, Adam Holcombe (Sarah) and Drew Holcombe (Alyson); his great grandchildren, Walker and Vivian; his brothers, Frank Terrell (Judy) and Ralph May (Joyce); and his stepsisters, Hazel Melton and Patsy Canfield.
